 Important Updates for REALTORS®: Training Requirements

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) has approved changes to the training requirements for members:

Code of Ethics Training:

• The training requirement has been extended from every two years to every three years.
• The new deadline for the current cycle (Cycle 7) is December 31, 2024.
• Members must complete at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of training that meets NAR's specific objectives. This can be done through NAR’s online courses or local/state association offerings.

Fair Housing Training:

• New members are now required to complete two hours of fair housing training beginning in 2025, and existing REALTORS® must also complete this training every three years as a condition of membership.

Training Cycles:

• Cycle 7: January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024
• Cycle 8: January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027

Please ensure you complete the necessary training by the deadlines to maintain your REALTOR® membership.
